Creighton Art Studios

Juliette and I [Audrey Creighton] opened what began as a watercolor card business in 2023. On opening day, we listed a series of floral watercolor note cards online. After a day of jumping up and down in excitement whenever we heard the ‘cha-ching’ noise come from my phone, we had sold out of product.

Ever since this unforgettable day, we have expanded our offerings from little notecards to actual cards. We’ve also introduced original watercolor bookmarks, custom-commissioned acrylic pet portraits, floral ornaments and bobbles, original painting prints by me, floral gift tags, floral journals featuring original watercolor art, and other seasonal products.

Of course, Juliette and I would not be where we are without the love and support of our customers and fellow business owners. About one month after launching Creighton Art Studios, we became proud sellers at Indie West Studios in Oakwood, Ohio. While on our way to a family event, my dad decided to hop into Indie West and purchase a shirt. Juliette joined him while my mom and I waited for them to return. After a while, we began to wonder what was taking the pair so long. Finally, they left the shop and returned, holding a black linen shirt with white buttons and a story. While my dad picked out a shirt, Juliette talked with the store owner, Ashley:

“My sister and I started a business where we sell cards. Would you maybe want to buy some of our cards?”

A young Juliette put on her salesperson hat and was working hard for the big bucks.

“I would love to sell them here!”

A supportive Ashley replied, offering us a spot in her store to sell our cards.

As Juliette told us this story, we were all on the edge of our seats. From there, a close relationship was formed. Without Ashley’s encouraging attitude and support, Juliette and I would not be where we are now. We are eternally grateful to Ashley and her store for helping us share our creations with the world.

Running a business had always been a dream of mine and Juliette’s. Now, that dream has come true. We are utilizing our talents to spread love and art around the globe. There is something special about a hand-penned letter. We are so honored to have the amazing opportunity of connecting people around the world.
